Home to Alaska

So on the 25th of August, Marshall and I were lucky enough to head out (at 2am!) Alaska bound. We got into Alaska late that night and went to Red Robin, which I have been craving since about week 8 in this pregnancy! And yes, it defintely hit the spot. Through out the 13 days we got to spend in Alaska, we had an absolute blast. We hung out with mostly family and some friends.

(Marshall, Dad, Dave)
My nieces have grown up in such a short period of time (4 months since my last visit) and things were continuing to change in Wasilla.

(Dad and Keilee)
(Kadence and Emma)

We went to the Alaska State Fair several times, the movies, swimming and gymnastics with Kadence and Keilee, a late night with little miss Emma, as well as some YUMMY dinners (Benihana's, Chepo's, ect). My parents cats got very spoiled from Marshall and insisted on following him all around the house during the whole trip. Me and my mom got to spend some real quality time together, which was also much needed. She is defintely my best friend, aside from Marshall of course! :) Everything about this visit was all I could ask for. The leaving part was the only bad thing about the whole trip, but we did enjoy reuniting with our puppies, who were anxious to have us home! :) That is a little summary about the trip that we loved sooooo much!

21st Birthday

So today was my 21st birthday! I was very excited to spend the day with my husband in Savannah, GA (someplace I never thought I would be spending my birthday). We got up early, had a good breakfast and got ready for the day. I got to go shopping for our little one at Carter's and Target. What a blast! Then we saw Inception (wayyy good movie!) and then lunch/dinner at Olive Garden. So delicious! The only thing missing from today was our families. I wish they could have been here to celebrate with us, but I know they would be if they could. Now, I am at home, waiting for Marsh to get back so we can take the boys to the dog park for their play time! I love our life :)

Maceelyn Holly Webb

So we went to the doctor's office today for our "anatomy" ultrasound. During the ultrasound, the baby was moving around like crazy. It kicked me a ton, and was pushing it's head further into my pelvis and arching it's back. Clearly, it was not a happy camper! In the middle of the ultrasound, the baby laid on it's back and spread it's legs WIDEEEE open. We found out then that little miss Maceelyn would be joining our family in the months to come :) We were very excited. We had hoped for a boy, but all that really matters is that the baby is healthy! After we found out the sex, she ended up being even more fiesty and showed us her middle finger! Her heart was beating at 145 bpm. She is estimated to weigh 9.5 ounces. Her brain, diaphram, stomach, legs, and kidneys were said to be "perfect"! We couldn't be more happy!

After the appointment, the shopping began. I bought her first picture frame, that will hold her ultrasound until she is born. We also bought her bedding for her nursery. I went to walmart after that, and got a few little necessities, such as HAIR BOWS! I will be doing more shopping tomorrow, on my 21st birthday! I dont want to spend toooo much here, because in a couple of weeks, Marshall and I are heading to Alaska to visit my family. There, I will shop with my mom and sister, and my sister will be giving me a TON of baby girl stuff (newborn, 0-3 month clothes, bobby pillow, ect). I am just thrilled :)

New Place && Sarah's Visit

GOODBYE OLD, DIRTY HOUSE. HELLO NEW, CLEAN AND AWESOME HOUSE!

So on Monday of last week, we moved into our new house on post. It is a in a fourplex, but has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a little backyard (which the boys arent too happy with!) but it's CLEAN, and close to where Marshall works. He is able to get up with 15 minutes till he has to be to work, get dressed, and makes it there on time. He enjoys the extra sleep in the morning and I enjoy the cleanliness of this new place. It was a hectic move though. Marshall and I moved 2000 lbs in our vehicles, and the army moved 3000 lbs. But in two days, we got moved in, and somewhat settled. :) So far we LOVE it! I will also post pictures as soon as my camera is charged :)

Sarah came on our second day of moving (when the actual movers moved our stuff). I was frantic all that day trying to get things cleaned at the "old" house and get the "new" house looking like a house. But after she got there, we were able to relax and enjoy the company! While Sarah was here, we are also able to do a lot of fun stuff. We did a ghost tour in Savannah (on which we got to ENTER and tour a haunted house, even though it was trespassing!), went to Tybee Island and played in the ocean, visited Old Fort Jackson, and did site-seeing in Savannah. I had a blast and I hope she did too :) I will miss her!

Baby Update!

So we had our 15 week doctor appointment today and Marshall was able to come with me AGAIN :) Woohoo. We got to hear Thumper's heartbeat (the nickname because the heartbeat is so steady!) It was at 150 beats per minute. The midwife said all was good and to keep drinking water. She said she'd like to see me gain 1-2 lbs between today and August 6th (our next appointment!) I think I can manage that. I just hope I am not an overachiever! ;)

At our next appointment (August 6th) we will find out the sex of our baby (if the baby cooperates!). It will be such a good early birthday present, as my day if August 7th. Yay. After that, let the shopping spree begin! :)

P.S. If you didn't already know, the names we have decided on are Maceelyn for a girl and Maverik for a boy. :)

Best Day of My Life

So today, as I was waiting in the doctor's office for our week 14 appointment, my phone rang. My doctor said "You can answer it if you need to..." I didn't think I needed to, so I silenced it. It rang again, so I decided to answer it. It was Marshall. I was trying to hurry and get off the phone, and not to make my doctor wait on me. As I was about to hang up, Marshall said "Wait! Did you hear me? Guess what I found out today?" As I answered "What?" Marshall cut me off. "I'M NOT GOING TO DEPLOY!!" I was in shock. Here I was, for the past months, trying to prepare myself for another deployment. I had packed over half the house up in the last month, so it wouldn't have to wait till the last minute. BUT HE'S NOT GOING. Because he has underlying medical issues that he acquired while on his first tour in Iraq, and because the baby is due in December, he was given the option to stay, and of course he took the option to stay home! :) We are a little worried about finances since we were really counting on him deploying and the money that was part of the deployment. But on the other hand, HE ISNT GOING. We are still pretty much in shock to find out this information exactly 2 weeks to the day of his scheduled flight to Iraq! After the initial shock settled, we had to find housing to move into since we are to be outta this house by the 13th, but we found a house on base pretty quickly, with no security deposit and no pet deposit. It is a 2 bedroom and 1 bath, with a small fenced in backyard. We do have neighbors, as it is a fourplex, but we will take it over being homeless!!! We still have to stay in Georgia, but we are going to try and pcs (move by military orders) to Fort Richardson, Alaska as soon as possible! Hopefully things will work out. Heavenly Father has surely answered our prayers today though! :)

But really the point of this whoooooole post is that: MARSHALL IS NOT DEPLOYING!!!

I am finally a WINNER...

So Marshall and I went to a free dinner tonight on base, to watch the MMA fighters get weighed in. After the dinner, we came home and checked the mail. In the mail there was a letter from the "Army Emergency Relief". Both Marshall and I were a little concerned and didn't know why we would be getting a letter from them? But when I opened it up, I realized that I had WON a 2060 dollar scholarship for school :) I am stoked and elated! I cannot believe I actually won a scholarship! Woohoo. This scholarship is for stateside spouses of active duty military. Yay! Cant wait to use up all that money! Haha.
